Mount Tabor provides so many different kinds of classes, which helps, not just myself, but others figure out the path we want to take. They have high expectations of me, which drives me to work as hard as I can in the courses I am taking. The teachers work to prepare me for what college will be like by fostering a unique environment that balances many different kinds of teaching styles. Senior: Mount Tabor High School is a wonderful place to attend. We always run out of toilet paper and soap which is really annoying. The lady at the front of the student services is really nice. I think they go a little overboard sometimes but I think that should be mostly for the freshmen and sophomores. Some of the teachers were really nice some were average. My favorite part about East Forsyth High was meeting my friends. Junior: I really enjoyed marching band I made some new friends. Our atmosphere is very welcoming, but love is most vital. Clubs and sports are both quite important in this community. Reagan Outstanding School is renowned for its high academic performance and for being among the best high schools in the country.Lacrosse is another sport I participate in here I started playing in my freshman year and have kept up with it all through high school. I have a lot of great, respectable friends here. He makes sure that he is involved in the community and that everyone is content. I actually get along well with our principal, Brad Royal, and have done so since my first year of college. and that effectively encapsulates Reagan High. One school, one family, one community is a motto of Reagan High. It is well known that the teachers go above and beyond to ensure that every student succeeds to the best of their abilities. Senior: I adore Reagan High School so much! Considering how inclusive everyone is, I truly feel at home here. And the academic value of the school speaks for itself!. Teachers work as a team and navigate delicate and challenging social situations, showing most sincere kindness and care, teaching students how to not compromise humanity in lieu of mundane fun and giving direction to those who have lost it. We feel special pride about the school’s ethics. WFHS is strong in supporting local communities by participating in cleaning events in parks and neighboring areas, pitching in in donations, and volunteering. WFHS is creative in many ways, there are always new banners and announcements, decorations for upcoming events and seasonal decor for the school appearances. It was joyful to discover that students can find almost anything. It felt like it was a college campus, and time spent outside was a health bonus for students! WFHS makes a great community with more than 30 clubs, societies, sports teams. Angie Choplin of Lewisville Elementary and Donald Wyatt of Sedge Garden Elementary were the other two finalists.Parent: From the first day we toured the campus we loved that students walked from building to building. She has been with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools since 2000. Debra is Principal at Mineral Springs Elementary and Middle Schools. Principal of the Year: Debra Gladstone was named Principal of the Year. Tamatha Fullerwinder of Moore Elementary and Kendra Scott of Ashley Academy were also finalists. She joined Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in 2013 as a teacher. Samantha has been at Lewisville since 2016. The other finalists were Margo Cochran of Northwest Middle and Angie Grace of Jefferson Elementary.Īssistant Principal of the Year: Samantha Fitzgerald of Lewisville Elementary is the new Assistant Principal of the Year. Sandra has been at East Forsyth for 15 years. Carrie French of Moore Elementary and Nicole Wooten of Caleb’s Creek Elementary were also finalists.Ĭlassified Employee of the Year: Sandra Shropshire, Financial/Lead Secretary at East Forsyth High School was awarded Classified Employee of the Year. Abi has been teaching for 15 years and has been at Speas since 2012. Teacher of the Year: Abi Woodson, 4 th Grade Teacher at Speas Elementary is the new Teacher of the Year. Twelve finalists, 3 in each category, were showcased at the banquet. There were more than 150 nominees in all. The Core Values include equity, student-centered, accountability, integrity, high expectations, and collaboration.
